When is Oakengates Carnival?

Saturday, 12th July, 11:30am - 7:00pm.
The procession through the High Street begins from Hartshill Park at 11:30am, finishing at 12pm for our FREE family fun day to begin!

Where is it?

Oakengates Carnival is taking place all through Oakengates. The procession will go through the High Street, and will lead you to Hartshill Park, where we will have an epic family fun day.

Where can I get tickets?

You don’t need tickets! It’s free to attend both the procession and the family fun day in Hartshill Park, so come for as little, or as long as you like, we’ve got enough going on to entertain you and your little ones all day.

Question 4

Can I bring my own food and drink?

Accepted Answer

Yes, of course. We will have a whole bunch of tasty street food vendors and a bar onsite, but you are more than welcome to bring in your own picnic.
Please make sure that you do not bring any alcohol or sharps into site, we will be completing bag searches on entry to the park.

Am I allowed to bring my dog?

Of course you can bring your four-legged friend! You must keep your dog on a short lead at all times, and they won’t be allowed underneath the marquees, but there will be plenty of space for them in the park.
Please be aware that this event will be busy with plenty of noise, so please take that into consideration when planning your day.

Travelling into Oakengates

Oakengates Train Station is roughly a 5-minute walk to Hartshill Park, trains will be running on a regular timetable, please check before you travel.

There will be car parking available in Oakengates, but access may be restricted during the procession, please check the Telford & Wrekin Council website for more information.

This event is held on grass, but it is fairly flat.

What’s happening at the event?

Oakengates Carnival is all about bringing the town together and celebrating everything that is Oakengates!

A procession filled with exciting dance groups, vintage vehicles, and local communities will be making its way along the high street where you can follow it through all the way to an epic family fun day in Hartshill Park.

We’ve got so many exciting things happening throughout the day, including live music, dance performances, have a go sports activities, exhibitors, street food, inflatables and SO much more happening in Hartshill Park.

There’s something for everyone, and the best thing, is that you don’t even need to pay an entry fee!
Please note, some of our activities will be closing at 6pm.

We are currently not accepting applications for Street Food vendors.
